Alright Old Pointers! Today is crazy sock day (we're trying to "sock out" drugs). I have on my princess toe socks! Hurray for fun ways to say no to drugs!
Our field trip to the Carroll School is tomorrow. Remember to dress in layers (in case it is chilly in the morning and warms up) and bring a bottle of water. You're really going to enjoy this trip. It's almost as if we get to go back in time. You'll even get to meet two incredible men who attended the Carroll School when it was in operation. The experience is one you'll remember for a long time. Did you know that the Carroll School was featured in Southern Living this summer?
If you get a chance, blog about your experience tomorrow.

I loved the Carroll School! It did feel like you traveled back in time to that time period. I loved picking the cotton and planting the corn, and it was funny when Donnie had to carry 'Big Momma' with him to the field and he ended up cheating. i was wondering if something was bad about it. Bye!:)
LOL

I loved the Carroll School. I felt like I was really back in time. The two men were so interesting to listen to. I loved their songs and stories. The school was decorated beautifully and it smelled authentic--musty! I liked picking cotton. It is so neat. It was hilarious had to carry "Big Momma" out to the cotton field. I also liked canning apples and sewing. Although I didn't enjoy the lunch, I still had a great time and learned a lot!
