I'm working on my poem and found a really great quote that I'd like to share with you,
"Take chances, make mistakes. That's how you grow." ~Mary Tyler Moore
I think that sometimes we are afraid to make mistakes, so we never venture outside of "the box." However, when we think about it... all of the greatest inventions occurred because people took chances and made mistakes.

Yeah, sometimes I don't want to think outside the box because I'm afraid I'm going to make a mistake. They do say that people learn from their mistakes so how am I going to learn?

Are you telling me that you NEVER take chances or think outside the box? I don't think that I believe you. You've said some very insightful things in class that have required creative thinking.
I take a lot of chances and Mrs. Hilton always says to think outside of the box, and I do exactly what she says. Be creative. I never said NEVER in my first comment. Of course I think outside of the box and take chances, I wouldn't be in this position if I never did. But now, I know that being afraid of making mistakes is a normal thing, I really appreciate you posting this! Love you!!
I agree because i have made plenty mistakes and i have realized that if you dopn't make mistakes you can't learn fropm them.
Me too i think everyone should take chances. Even though they are going to make mistakes we could amazing inventions!! I try to think outside the box, but, i make a lot of mistakes too.

Exactly.. and as the song goes, Raychel, "Everyone makes mistakes!" Making mistakes is a part of life; the trick is to learn from them.
Learing from friends really can help when you need ideas. But I take risk and I use different skills to help myself. I never give up without trying.
In the past when I first came here I did not want to make mistakes because I did not want people to think im dumb and just wanted to fit in but now if I make a mistake I know I will learn from it and correct the mistake,now im not afraid to make a mistake because I do not care when people make fum of me because I do not care anymore.

Jahred, I'm glad that you feel comfortable enough to make mistakes now. You've got amazing experiences being from the Phillipines. I think that learning a completely new language and new customs is amazing and I'm so glad to hear your stories when you share them.
Brandon, good point about learning from friends; I do that too!
