Teacher Appreciation Week

We'll use this post as a forum to post your appreciation of a past teacher (you cannot post about me).

I'll start!

Mrs. Pat Burton was my seventh grade language arts and science teacher. She was incredibly intelligent and believed in teaching us all sides of the story in order to give us the background knowledge so that we could make up our own minds. We call this "critical thinking." She wanted us to think for ourselves instead of just believing what we hear. She had snakes in her room as well as a whole family of rats- which was actually kind of fun:) She had an awesome classroom library. Mrs. Burton had such high expectations for me and through her guidance, I cultivated my life long love of learning. Thanks, Mrs. Burton!!

My favorite teacher was my third grade teacher, Ms. Lindsay Christmas. She was so smart and wanted us to be very smart also. She made learning so much fun by making it creative. What I really enjoyed was when we would fill the glass jar with marbles; we would have an art celebration. It was so much fun and she is such a good artist and teacher. I would love to be in her class again!!!

Mrs. Werrell was my 4th grade teachers. She was funny and never really got mad at us, unless of course someone got on her last nerve. She also cared about us having snack during class time so we could focus more easily, so sometimes she let us have some of her extra snack she brought. It was a blast in Mrs. Werrell's room, you can ask anybody that was in her class last year!

I don't really have a favorite teacher. They are all so AMAZING, including you! I'm happy to have you as my 5th grade teacher@

My favorite teacher? That's a tough one. I think I would have to say Mrs. Werrell. She was tough on us -which she should have been- and she was so intelligent. I loved her so much. Even though she made me mad sometimes, she was so so SO sweet. I love you Mrs. Werrell!

My favorite teacher was Mrs. Helen Huskins. She was my third grade teacher. She was also my neighbor and it was easier because I already knew her. She was so nice to everybody and that made me love her even more! She taught everyone a valuble lesson: "Life's not fair." She made learning fun and entertaining. That is why Mrs. Helen Huskins is my favorite teacher! :)

I am so excited that PASS testing is over for the year. Even though my teacher's tell me not to stress, I always do for some reason. I hope I did really well. I guess I'll find out in a few months.
